Israeli Authorities Transfer Hunger Striking Administrative Detainee Bilal Kayed to Another Prison Israel authorities have transferred Bilal Kayed from solitary confinement in Rimon prison to Ohli Kedar prison. Mr. Kayed enters his 14th day of hunger strike and his transfer comes as a move to pressure him to put an end to his hunger strike. Bilal Kayed, a 35-year-old Palestinian from Nablus was arrested in 2002 and sentenced to 14 and a half years. He had been placed in isolation in Rimon prison since September 2015 until his scheduled release. Bilal was set to be released on 13 June 2016 after completing his sentence. The occupation forces have arrested the lawyer Mohammad Alayan, who is the father of Bahaa Elayan, a 22-year-old Palestinian from Jabal Al-Mukabber in Jerusalem that was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem on 13 October 2015. Mr. Alayan was arrested early in the afternoon in East Jerusalem, after which he was taken to Al-Maskobiyeh interrogation centre. The interrogation has lasted for several hours and his detention has been extended by the intelligence for an additional 24 hours. Ramallah – A 6-month administrative detention order has been issued against Addameer Media Coordinator Hasan Safadi, who has been under interrogation for forty days. The judge may confirm the order based on secret information on a date set within 48 hours.
