"Detained in dark cells that lack the basic standards of humanity, without charge or trial"
On 1 June 2014 former Palestinian administrative detainee Nidal Labboum was released from prison after spending 36 days on hunger strike. Administrative detention is detention without charge or trial and is a policy which Israel has been using against Palestinians since 1948. At a press conference organized by Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Nidal speaks about his experience on hunger strike and the brutal treatment of his fellow detainees by the Israeli authorities.
