Following the latest student council elections at Birzeit University, PA General Intelligence Service arrested the President-elect of the Student Council, Abdulmajid Hasan, after having brutally assaulted him in front of his home.
The Military Court of the Israeli Occupation extended the detainment and interrogation of the Birzeit graduate student, Layan Kayed, for eight additional days, until 22 June 2023. Since her arrest on 7 June 2023, Layan has not been allowed to access legal consultation or meet with her lawyer.
