The Military Court of the Israeli Occupation extended the detainment and interrogation of the Birzeit graduate student, Layan Kayed, for eight additional days, until 22 June 2023. Since her arrest on 7 June 2023, Layan has not been allowed to access legal consultation or meet with her lawyer. The detained student holds the position of the Coordinator of the Palestinian Coalition for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights "Adala", and pursues her graduate studies in Social Development at Birzeit University.
