Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, in partnership with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Birzeit University, the Right to Education Campaign, the Legal Clinic, and in collaboration with the Media and Psychology student clubs, organized a solidarity day for student prisoners under the title: "Know Your Rights: The systematic targeting of Palestinian university students.” The event is part of efforts to raise student awareness about their legal rights, particularly in light of the widespread arrest campaigns taking place across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem after October 7, which have specifically targeted students.

Lawyer Tala Nasir, from Addameer, spoke at the event, presenting the most prominent legal violations that Palestinian students are subjected to, especially amid the increasing number of arrests. She outlined key rights that students should be aware of, emphasizing the importance of knowing these rights in order to protect themselves and their university community.

During the event, Addameer publications were also distributed to students. Psychologist Samya Hawamdeh from Birzeit University also participated, offering an in-depth discussion on the psychological effects students may experience as a result of arrest or persecution, and the impact this can have on their academic and social lives. She addressed mechanisms of both individual and collective support that students can rely on to cope with these experiences, stressing the importance of providing specialized psychological support for released prisoners, given its vital role in strengthening their resilience and psychological stability.
